Bio
Re Mattei is an award-winning Americana singer-songwriter and storyteller whose music blends deeply rooted storytelling, Americana warmth, and rock-driven energy. Her latest album, Stories Lived, is a nine-song collection exploring the experiences we live, inherit, witness, and imagine, told through vivid characters, emotional honesty, and an organic, performance-first sound. Stories Lived was co-produced by Mattei and two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Alexx Antaeus, with mixing and mastering by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineers Alex Psaroudakis and Joe Maldonado.
A Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in guitar performance, Mattei began her professional career touring internationally for three years with the all-female Top 40 band The Uptown Girls, performing throughout Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Hawaii, and at U.S. military bases. She later made Nashville the home base for her songwriting and recording career, performing at venues including The Bluebird Cafe and the Tennessee State Fair.
In 2026, Mattei received the International Singer Songwriters Association’s Female Songwriter of the Year – Gold award after being named a finalist in four categories. She also earned a nomination in the Christian category of the Tennessee Songwriters Association International Awards for her unreleased composition “To Be Redeemed.” Stories Lived follows her 2024 album, Believin’ Is Seein’, and marks a new chapter in an independent career built around musicianship, resilience, and the power of a well-told story.
